Time to build your base with a weekend business long run. Typically I post articles that I have come across during the week that would be good to look at to improve your business. Trying something new this week. When I first started doing this post it was more of a Follow Friday thing like they do on Spin Sucks. What I found was that it was a lot more work than I had time to do every Friday so eventually I changed it up to provide a collection of great content that would help small business owners. Beginning this week and occurring the first Friday of every month I am going to combine the two concepts by highlighting content from a specific author and/or site that you should know and follow. Kind of a long run partner (I need to keep the running theme going).
So this week's running partner is Amy Schmittauer, founder and author of Savvy Sexy Social. Amy is a wealth of information on how to utilize social media to build your business activity. I first met Amy in person in early 2011 and was so impressed that one of the early Follow Friday's I did was on Amy (Check out #FollowFriday Amy Schmittauer although a lot has changed since then). I have also had the pleasure of working with Amy as she provided the social media strategy and execution for the 2012 Ohio Growth Summit. I have learned a lot from directly interacting with Amy as well as from her blog posts, videos and Twitter activity. She is smart and fun and that makes it really easy to learn from the content she creates. She is a MUST follow!!!
So what do you have this weekend? I'll be getting a few early miles in on Saturday then heading to Cincinnati to watch the 2012 World Series Champion Reds. After they dispose of the Pirates I'll be reading and watching these posts by Amy.
