Can't agree enough with this post, Michael. As you alluded to, I think marketers associate the concept of selling too much with Glengarry, Glenross and Billy Mays (RIP). But you can't be afraid to sell. Even with your online CTAs. Shying away from selling does indeed indicate to the customer that you're not confident about your product and that you don't really care about service.
