I guess I'm kind of in vacation mode today so I'm doing my #FollowFriday on the Ohio Small Business Development Center at Columbus State Community College. Sure I run this Center but I think it is a good follow. The SBDC is a national program supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Ohio Department of Development, Columbus State Community College and local partners. Through our programs and services, we provide entrepreneurial development assistance and high-end business consulting to start-up and emerging business owners free of charge.
Our reach extends into nine counties including Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Licking, Logan, Madison, Pickaway, and Union counties.
The Center has been recognized for excellence in service and innovation. In 2008 it was named the winner of the U.S. Small Business Administration's Service Excellence and Innovation Center Award for both the State of Ohio and a five state region, named Top SBDC in Ohio for performance by the State of Ohio. I was honored to be named the "State Star" for Ohio by the National Association of Small Business Development Centers. These awards show our commitment to helping you achieve your goals as a business owner.
As the Center moves into 2011 look for some pretty cool stuff. We have developed a business start-up series that will allow you to have an understanding of business in five weeks. We will also offer a number of topic specific trainings and of course the Ohio Growth Summit.
Given all that that this is my #FollowFriday for December 24, 2010. Vist our SBDC at our site SBDC Free Advice and on Twitter at @Ohio_SBDC.
