For those of you familiar with Twitter, or addicted as I am, know the concept of "#FollowFriday". Every Friday people list others on Twitter that they would recommend you follow. Granted this is often just people listing their friends or trying to get the attention of celebrities or power users but I have gotten good recommendations from this in the past. Well today I was perusing twitter and I saw a post on the Spin Sucks blog that caught my attention...a blog post #FollowFriday. I thought this is a cool idea so here is my first cut at it.
If I am going to do this I have to start with Nate Riggs. Nate is the founder and Principal at Social Business Strategies. I have had the privilege of working with Nate on several speaking opportunities through our SBDC office. Nate is very knowledgeable in working with companies to develop and execute business strategies using the social web. Sitting and talking with Nate about about technology or social media applications is truly amazing. His grasp of not only the tools but how to use them to improve a business is what I think is important and a reason for businesses to work with Nate.
Nate has also participated in the development and has spoken at the Ohio Growth Summit in 2009 and 2010. Nate is a great speaker that is able to connect with the audience and provide cutting edge content. Chris Brogan was the Keynote of the Summit in 2009 and told me that I didn't need to bring him in to speak because Nate had it all...that is high praise my friends. Nate is also a great moderator that can keep a panel on track (a skill not everyone has). The perfect example is the 10 person panel he moderated on Personal Branding at the Ohio Growth Summit this past year. He kept the panel and the audience engaged while making sure the content was strong.
Given that this is my #FollowFriday for August 13, 2010. Check out Nate on Twitter @NateRiggs and subscribe to his blog at NateRiggs.com.

Mike - thank you for this post, and all the opportunities you've brought my way. I really appreciate the support you give me. :)
